Hi all! It's a lovely spring day here in Peterborough, Ontario, and I hope the same goes for you folks in Norman! Here are some announcements:
1. What's due today? Your Week 13 Reading Quiz is due tonight at 11:00 p.m.
2. What's coming up? Tomorrow's assignment is your Week 13 Digging Deeper, which delves into human evolution. Please note that if you used a human evolution article for the last "news article" assignment that you did on evolution in general, you must find a different article for this assignment.
3. Looking ahead: It's an Adopt-a-Species week, you know... Remember, Adopt-a-Species assignments are worth a little more than Freelance Writer assignments. So if you are trying to get to the next highest grade, reap the rewards of doing high-quality work, and don't overlook any of those details.
4. Interested in a talk? Next Monday (April 21) you can head for the Kerr Auditorium at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History and watch a free talk called "Watching the Arctic melt away: Seabirds respond to four decades of increasing temperatures." The talk will be at 4:30 p.m., and it is free and open to the public. Here is a short description of the talk: "A narrative of how a northern Alaska seabird colony and the arctic pack ice ecosystem have responded to changes in snow and ice brought on by increasing regional temperatures."
That's it for today! You know where to find me if you have questions!
