Hi folks! Just a few things on the agenda and I'll leave you alone to enjoy your Friday!1. Fifteen of 22 students already have their blogs up and ready to go! Great job!! For those of you who have not started setting up your blog, don't wait until the last minute--if you have problems at 10:59 on Sunday night, there's nothing I can do to help!
2. Ten of the 17 adopted species chosen so far are non-vertebrates! Don't get me wrong: vertebrates are just as important as plants and invertebrates! However, the majority of living creatures on earth are non-vertebrates and these organisms are usually hugely under-represented in our Adopt-a-Species assignments!
3. Balance is the key! When you respond to each other's posts, please try to respond to messages with zero or one replies first. Else we end up with a few long (and interesting!) threads and many short (and equally interesting) threads. Remember, there's no law that says you can't respond to more than two posts, but please show the shortest threads some love first.
Enjoy your weekend! You probably won't hear from me tomorrow (unless I think of something urgent), so I'll check back in on Sunday to see how the Adopt-a-species assignments are progressing! :)
